“We had the best 7 days we could have ever imagined at Kamishiro Mountain Lodge. Perfect location to all the best restaurants, onsen and, of course, Goryu mountain. Easy access to the rest of the Hakuba mountains too. We absolutely loved the lodge itself, very cute and traditional. John and Tracey were the best hosts, they went above and beyond for us. Having John’s knowledge of the slopes was invaluable and Tracey was like a second mum. We miss her breakfasts already! Also, Asahi black on tap.. are you kidding me! We could not recommend Kamishiro Mountain Lodge more and cannot wait to be back every time we visit Hakuba.”

The bar/ open fire communal space was our fave part of the lodge - a place we could always find company and advice. “Just back in Adelaide after our fourth 2-week stay in Hakuba at Kamishiro Mountain Lodge. Awesome, as always. Skiing is excellent, and with 10 areas all less than 30 minutes away. A huge range of choices. The atmosphere in the Lodge is very friendly and relaxed, and a sensational breakfast sets you up for a solid day skiing. There are lots of excellent places to eat within walking distance. Lots to see and do if taking a day off skiing, including snow monkeys, NaganoTemple, Matsumoto Castle, the Olympic ski jump and the coast at Itoigawa. Already planning next year's trip.”
